My Babolat Commercial

I may not hit the ball as cleanly as some, or be as fleet of foot as others, but I am nevertheless a tennis player

Nice video and great ground strokes! I also play with the APD and love the racket. It’s very light, maneuverable and stable with very little feedback because of the cortex. Did you do this for Babolat?

Thanks. I was pretty speedy until an ankle injury slowed me down. I hit against the wall mostly for foot work. About a week ago I hit with a guy who was a 6.0 pro and I couldn’t believe the pace, depth and spin. Topspin 1hb is tough. Keep the arm loose, take the ball early, not open up too much, stay low, keep the wrist firm, head still, minimize the “jerk” place the ball where you want it. Ugggh! The beautiful thing about tennis is we have a lifetime to get it right :-)

Very nice man, you may be 47 but you have a very good game, I haven’t seen your speed around court but you look in good shape and your groundstrokes are very nice. I am an amateur player, I try and play maybe 2-3 matches a week with my friend but I need to work so much on my backhand. My forehand is my best shot, I can do some nice topspin forehands but my one-handed backhand is very bad, I find that a topspin one-handed backhand is probably the hardest tennis shot to master.

Thanks! I just wish I could get my forehand to cooperate :-)

Thanks. Funny nobody ever says “Nice forehand”. hahahaha

Thanks and thanks. The APD is the best! I wish! Well, to be honest with you, I did send it to babalot on a whim

Cool commercial. you should add some music to this or a voice over. I like your backhand. What grip do you use? I use the Aero Pro Drive as well. I love it. Ciao

It’s already been said but looks like you’ve got a nice backhand.. Pretty accurate too.
