Why do different tennis racquet retailers/reviews have different specifications for the same racquet?

I realize the difference is minimal whether a racquet is 1 point head light or 2, but I am just curious. After doing some racquet shopping I found that different websites were listing the exact same racquet with slightly different specs (including balance, and weight). I’m wondering if each retailer does their own tests on the racquets? Is that why the ever so slight variation in racquet specifications exists?

I think you are confusing different specifications for the same racquet with different specs for different variations of the same racquet. To meet the needs of all levels of tennis players, manufacturers make the same racquet with different specs. For example, they might make 3 versions: mid (usually small head size and more weight), mid-plus (usually longer and lighter with larger headsize), and oversize (larger head size than both others). Each retailer does not do their own tests on the racquet because the specs are controlled by the manufacturer. Either the retailer made a mistake and put the wrong information or it is a slightly different variation of the racquet. Hope that made sense…
