Are there any tennis racquets that aren’t oversize anymore?

I played a lot way back when and it was considered wussy to use an oversized racquet. I used to have a Donnay Revolutive Apollo and a Yamaha Secret and I could smash the ball just fine with these size racquets. What is the best non oversized racquet out for sale now?

All racquet name brands have non-oversized and oversized heads. Oversized heads are for beginners and non-oversized heads are for the more advanced players. All brands have them because pros are endorsed by them and thus, pros don’t like to use oversized heads that cramp up their swing speed or playing style. You can find any online by just googling tennis racquets, tennis warehouse has lots of them.

it’s just a matter of the more effective equipment taking over the sport. If the small head rackets were any match for the oversized ones they’d still be in use.

if I were a pro (or an amateur!) I’d use whatever equipment allowed me to do the best on the court. You don’t see Chuck Taylors in the NBA anymore either. same thing.

The best control racket (opposite of oversize) is the K6.1 90 inches, which is the one that Fed uses. For me, it is a bit heavy, but I’m 13 and let’s face it, not buff.

The one that Roger Feder uses…Wilson (k) six-one tour is 90 inches and is one of the smallest
