Which tennis racket/racquet should I buy?
I am an intermediate player, playing about 3-4 times a week. Price is important. I narrowed it down to 3 racquets:
Wilson nFocus Performance Tennis Racquet- on sale at Sports Authority from $99 to $69. Ther reviews are great, which helps.
Prince Triple Threat Scream Tennis Racquet (Pre-Strung)- on sale at Sports Authority from $119 to $49. Once again amazing reviews, and really cheap.
Prince Shark OS Prestrung Tennis Racquet- on sale at Sports Authority from $189 to $69. While there is a huge price reduction, I don’t think that it’ll be too good because there are no reviews. Do you think that because the price has been cut, It’s a better racquet?

You can’t live on reviews alone. Ones opinion of a racquet depends entirely on what type of player they are. Are you a control type player who would benifit from a stiffer racquet and higher string tension? Is power more important to you that control? Then you might want to look at a head heavy racquet and lower your string tension for even more power. Do you want more forgiveness on miss-hits? If so a mid-plus or oversize racquet will expand the sweet spot.
You need to shop in person and ask important questions related to your game and not rely on reviews of strangers. Sport Chalet trumps Sports Authority big time when it comes to asking the right people.

I would say the Prince Shark. That is the only one of those rackets that I have tried. I would say get like a nPro Open, nBlade, nTour, or nSix-Two instead though. Those are all around 100 dollars.

You should go to:

If you did, that’s all I can tell you. The Prince Shark is reviewed there too.

Im thinking the Prince Triple Threat Scream Tennis Racquet. I have a Prince o3 and absolutly love it, I have had bad experience with Wilson, stay away from it..cheaply made.
Prince is your best bet and I would think that because of the price drop on the one racquet you should go with the Triple Threat.

i’d narrow it down to the and Wilson nFocus Performance Tennis Racquet, or the Prince Triple Threat Scream Tennis Racquet
both are great but in the end i pick the Prince Triple Threat Scream Tennis Racquet because its a decent midlevel racquet

you really shouldnt ask us this hahaha im just saying it depends on you really because we dont really know how you play and what your comfortable with. You should demo these rackets too see how they play and what you like and comfortable with. But once you get a pre strung racket get it restrung most strings on them suck alot
Mostly every tennis equipment is on how you like the feel of the strings the racket the shoes. Is it Comfy. is it too heavy.
Good luck

When buying a tennis raquet you should try to avoid rackets that are pre strung. These are never good raquets and the string in the could be years old especially in raquets such as the ones you said you were interested in. If your looking for quality rackets for a great price go to ebay. I think that one of the best raquets there is that you can find at a great price is the liquidmetal radical MP. Here is a link to them and if your looking for reviews go tenniswarehouse.com for reviews by an expert team on raquets.
